Welcome to Lagos Island Maternity Hospital
 Lagos Island Maternity Hospital, Campbell Street, Lagos owned by Lagos State Government, is a specialist Hospital that caters for all aspects of Obstetric and Gynaecological problems and also a referral secondary centre for many private Hospitals, other Lagos State Government Hospitals, and also from Tertiary Institutions from Lagos environs and other States.
The foundation stone of the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital was laid by Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Gloucester on the 13th of May, 1959. The Hospital was formally declared open by Lady Robertson, wife of the then Governor-General of the Federation of Nigeria on the 20th July, 1960. Before this Hospital was opened, the citizens of Lagos made use of the Maternity Services provided by the then Massey Street Dispensary, attached to the children’s Hospital.
The hospital has three (3) wings A, B, and C, but presently A and B are being used. The C wing is closed for renovations.

Message from the MD/CEO
 You are welcome to LIMH, Lagos. One of the oldest maternity hospitals in the country. The hospital is located at the centre of Lagos Island Local Government Area of Lagos State in Nigeria.
The hospital has a total of 215 bed, including 36 Cots. It has nine (9) Numbers of Consultants, seven specialist Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and two Consultant Anaesthetists. It has the full complement of the following Departments viz: Account, Medical Store, Laboratory, Nursing, Kitchen (Catering), Social Welfare, Engineering, Domestic, Health Information System, Computer, Medical, Pharmacy and Administrative Departments, with these sections Transport, Security, Tailoring, and Laundry.
